The Nobel Peace Prize is supposed to go to the person doing the most towards peace in the world. Just because he's the first American president to do something good doesn't make him the best or most deserving person to receive the award. There are other candidates who deserve it more.

If he manages to solve the Israel - Palestine conflict and successfully manages to have American and Muslim countries co-operating fully and well in a peaceful and respectful manor then he will deserve it, and whilst thats what he may be trying to do, he hasn't done it yet.

It seems to me he's been given the prize for his intentions rather than his actions.

Remember- it was only LATE last year before Bush admitted we were in a depression- not to mention on the verge of a total economic meltdown. Well....I can't really say how much time he should get.....I don't believe that would be fair.....if you take in to consideration, what he had to work with when he got in.....and let's not forget, he's young, it took 43 past presidents to make what this country is today....and not one of them accomplished anything great over night.....let's give him at least the same as we gave the others......that's fair!!!
