In my lifetime, I've had 7 cats (# 6 & #7 live here now )
These 2 are easily the weirdest 2 cats I've ever met Shadow & Smokey both hate cat brushes. Every cat I've ever had has LOVED to be brushed...except these two. Now, Shadow loves the lint roller. You can lint roll that darn cat all day long and he'll purr the whole time. Smokey hate the lint roller, but he loves my comb
Now, every cat I've ever had has hated having their fur rubbed the wrong way. Not these two! They love it! Shadow purrs his little heart out if you rub his fur the wrong way
Shadow is also a water baby. He jumps in the shower with me, and has his own towel to dry off. Smokey is not a fan of water - he's normal in that respect.
Does anybody else have a pet that has unusual likes or dislikes?
My two love being rubbed the wrong way too ..course, they love getting rubbed any way... - they also love getting thier belly rubbed.

Only one I ever liked was a killer, it would attack small children on sight, stalked and attacked our goats, and the horses and cattle we agisted, lol.
It hated being touched, except by my kids and I. Everyone else required band-aids, or stitches, no bull! We had a big soft lounge suite, and it would climb down behind you as you were sitting, and when we got up, it would be sucked down between the cushions, just a tail or paw showing. It was perfectly happy, would stay there for hours, if you pushed the cushions apart it would open one eye and growl at ya! Try and remove it at your peril!
My mum once arrived and sat on it all unbeknownst, and Lonely decided to climb out, using her as a ladder, the look on her face as the couch suddenly sprouted claws and and started growling at her backside was priceless!
The thing knew no fear, it chased big dogs across the highway, climbed up on the BBQ to steal the meat as it was cooking, pinched whole chooks as I was beheading them, attacked 6-8ft snakes several times, and won a couple of those battles, I always reckoned it thought it was a LION!
It certainly looked like one, very big, with a mane too.
Here's a pic of a nearly identical one. They're called Mancoons, VERY territorial, and protective of those they bond strongly with.
