I am just curious to know and if anyone can help I would like that. I need to know how to market my forum. What is the best way and what are the steps to do it.

The forum is freelancersforums(.)com I put the parenthises ther because I do not want to break the rules of the forum with a link. Any way please tell me the best way to get visitors and active users..... Thank in advance! I love this forum by the way!

put it in your profile on tfs, and post a little more around the forums and make some friends. people here who visit your profile will obviously see it and friends you make might help you to promote it by doing the same. you could hand out flyers advertising your site or put ads in the local paper. word of mouth is effective, just tell friends and friends of friends to ask friends of their friends to check it out and so on. link it on other online profiles you have too such as facebook, myspace and twitter. g'luckkkk

I would recommend writing some articles on the subject. Become an authority figure on the subject. You will usually be able to post a link in your byline. If your articles are well written and targeted well, you should get a lot of views and therefore increase the chance that they visit your site. There are many article submission sites out there. Just google 'submitting my article' or something similar.

1.) Post your website around forums, especially forums that reflect your site content.

2.) Make your signature for your e-mail, forums, and others, your website url.

3.) GET ON AS MANY SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES AS POSSIBLE!!! EG. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr etc.

4.) Submit your website to crawlers such as Google, Yahoo, Autopinger, Pingoat.
