Just saw that movie last night. (Amature Review)
The movie is about a 23 year old who finishs colledge only to abandon all money and control influnces to walk the country. He encounters various people and situations. Poetry is a large part of this movie. I'm a huge fan of the fluid word and some of the quotes you hear this guy say bring real meaning to your own life. The main character does what nearly anyone who is fed up with the establishment wishs they could do. Park your car on the side of the road, burn your money and start walking. Work when you need to and quit what it suits you. Abandon all control for pure freedom.
I am a hippy at heart and have learned to embrace simplicty of a nice gesture and the wonder of a common sunset. This movie really stuck a cord with me because we are all running from control. We are all running away from being like our parents. We dream to do what this person in the film lives.
The sound track is done by Eddie Vetter of Pearl Jam. As a fan of Pearl Jam and Eddies haunting voice, I couldn't think of a better person to sing for this tale.
If Starwars and 2001:A Space Oddesy are 5 Stars in my book. I would award this movie a solid 4. Truely great film and truly gorgous cinematography.
