It's wierd. I feel like affectionately cuddling people. Not in a sexual way but in an affectionate way.

Sometimes you feel all wound up like a huggy/smoochy lil kid and nowhere to go. *shrugs*

^It sounds like you are longing for human contact. I definitely crave comfort.

To be honest, at times I find human contact aversive. I hate it when people invade my pace or sit too close to me. It makes me really angry. This is why public transit bugs me --- too much yucky touching.

I could really use a warm blanket and reassurance now.

What's wrong? Do you live with family members or a partner?

I think most of us in this forum are a bit too far away to hold you in a blanket but there's alot of heartfelt people here whom love to lend an ear. =)

I used to crave comfort but now I've just given up, I much prefer solitude these days as you don't have to worry about being reliant on others.

My comfort after my divorce after 13 years of marriage was believe it or not a *HUGE STUFFED FROG*. It was about as high as me, had a huge head, long arms and legs that wrapped around me and I'd cuddle with froggie all the time when I was lonely. And it also helped me from getting into another relationship for all the wrong reasons.

It works! I passed that froggie around to lonely people so much that I finally lost him.

I have a warm dog at my side. Happiness is a warm puppy - Charlie Brown.

The ache for comfort is an ongoing feeling for me. I suspect it is part of an existential slight crisis. It is the ongoing feeling that something is wrong and the longing to hear that yes something is wrong, but it is okay.
