That is the most beautiful story I have ever heard!
What a fantastic thing you did,by first, picking up the kitten and second making sure a lonely old lady or someone like her could have a new lease on life with a little buddy!!!
AAWWWWW

Look at that brat go!

There was nothing else for me to do, as didn't want the wee kitten killed on the road or starving in the hedge. I couldn't bear to bring it home for suffering either, as would be cruel to keep it indoors all the time. Where it is now, it can roam out into the garden and be safe away from the road as well as children by what the lady told me.

Thanks. I honestly don't feel I done much as I was only doing what ought to be done in such a situation.

In the states, most cats are indoor cats or else most would end up dead in the street. I dont' think it's cruel..just keeping them safe

Yes, I can appreciate that. Another problem here, is the children next door are so rought, they would hurt or kill the wee creature and delight in it, sadly. I hate to see such cruelty.

That's a beautiful story, I'm glad the kitten managed to find such a good home.

animal cruelty angers me... people who mistreat animals in any way shape or form should have the same mistreatment done to them. i dont get how someone could just abandon an animal like it was a piece of rubbish. why get a f***ing pet if youre not committed to looking after it? >.<

anyway, what you did was great, many people would have just walked by but im glad theres people like me and you about, just wish everyone was willing to treat animals decently. old people are like kittens and puppies to me xD theyre cute... and i love looking after them.. im glad the old woman got herself a companion ^^ kudos to you for saving a kitty and an old lady!

Thanks. I'm actually looking after my own mother full time now - my daughter in law is right beside her but wouldn't even call in to say hello, never mind do anything. I thought it was bad until i heard her say last week, "My own mother is worse than yours, very weak, but I couldn't be bothered to even go visit her." What will she expect when she needs care herself?? She deserves none anyway.

its all about the karma... and being a decent human being! the way i think of it is, one day when i reach the elderly stage i could need some care...and id like to think id get the decent kind of care that i try to give to my elders.

honestly, i think you seem like a decent giving and caring person and you deserve mucho good karma!

I am so glad the kitty had a happy ending because of you Mirlou!! I cant wait until the day comes when you say you have a kitty of your own But for now you made someone else's life so much richer!

Thanks. If all goes well, I will soon have a precious little bundle to love and cherish - have just posted our news in another thread.
