Wow ... that is something I live with to this day also. However my pastor reassured me in one thing in a sermon he gave. No matter what the sin you may have committed as long a you believe in Jesus you will be forgiven.

I was 18 when I had mine and to this day I think about it all the time it is something that will always be in the back of your head. Don't keep yourself down.

As a Christian who is open to ideas from other belief systems, it's worth considering that, if the fetus you aborted had a soul, maybe it understood that you weren't ready for it. Maybe its soul moved on to another family who was ready. No matter what, I really don't believe the soul went anywhere bad. The guilt is coming from you, and nothing else. If it makes you feel better, have a private ceremony/memorial and communicate with him/her. I believe that on the "other side," there is greater understanding and forgiveness than what we experience here. All of us who have had abortions have feelings that can differ greatly from one another. I was completely okay after mine, but I understand that some women aren't. Do what makes you feel best, whether it's prayer, a memorial, therapy, or just talking to a trusted friend. Let the guilt go, and it will.

I posted this on wrong forum earlier.

Do you think that a fetus of just 10weeks old has a soul/spirit and if so does it go to heaven or hell??? I am very depressed and had this abortion 20 years ago. Its plaging the life out of me as somebody mentioned it could be in hell, if so do I deserve life. I was only 17 at the time and believe I done the right thing.

What kind of God would send a soul to hell through no fault of its own? I don't believe there is a soul at that point but if there is a compassionate God would only welcome it to paradise. God loves you and you made a hard decision when you were too young to properly raise a child. You did nothing wrong and should not be plagued by your choice.

I just had a chat with Satan, it's cool, he has no use for anyone under the age of 12 anyway.

I was kicked out of my local library for moving all the bibles to the 'fiction' section.

God knowingly didn't put in His scriptures what happens to children when hey die - if He had said they go to Heaven then parents would think themselves justified in murdering children, if He had said they go to Hell then everyone would freak out because they wouldn't understand why - God in his wisdom didn't make it clear so that people wouldn't use that information for a license to sin.. However, in the Old Testament if two men are fighting and one of them strikes a woman so that the baby comes out, that man is to suffer punishment according to the damage done - eye for eye, tooth for tooth, life for life. Meaning causing an abortion was viewed as murder.

Jesus came to pay the punishment deserved by sinners on behalf of sinners so that those who trust in him would not be condemned. He also earned their righteousness for them so that when God looks at the sinner who trusts in Jesus He sees the perfect life of Jesus and not the sinner's evil actions.

A lie deserves Hell. Murder deserves worse punishment in Hell. But those who trust in Jesus are saved from it.

Turn to God through Christ and you will be forgiven. Or pay the punishment for your own sins.

There is no spirit or soul, there is no heaven or hell, there is no god or devil.
It just dies and rots.

Everything will be okay
Everything will be all right
If I could away from her
And save my worthless life...

No offense, but I really, really don't believe this. Even if there was such thing as Heaven or Hell, this really sounds to me like a feel-free, guilt-leave-me-alone way of thinking.
Making up excuses and reasons to make ourselves feel better.

No offense, but it seems from your previous post saying it dies and rots, that you don't believe in much of anything. Which is why I really, really don't believe you're even taking part in a discussion in which someone was looking for comfort. I was addressing her, trying to throw some ideas out there and maybe GIVE comfort. I'm not in this discussion so people can attempt to debate my beliefs or ideas. If I wanted to, I'd be in a "debate" discussion. Happy Buzzkilling and Downering.
