15/M/behind you, Join Date: Jul 2007 | i was recently thinking about upgrading to windows 7, but i need to know what to do to get it.
i know i need the disks.
heres some info on my computer:
windows xp, home edition, version 2002, service pack 3,
Hewlett-Packard Pavilion, intel celeron, CPU 2.70GHz, 248 MB of RAM.
I think i need more RAM, but i dont know how much?
I also need to know the difference between upgrade version and full version?

The upgrade license requires that you have a previous version of Windows installed and the full version does not.
Also, yes, 2 GB is a good number for Windows 7. You can get away with 1, but 2 will make it run better.
Also, you may want to upgrade your processor, if possible. You can get away with the one you have, but same with the ram, a better processor would make it run better.
