I would guess at the bar, she most likely acts a little sassier, sexier. Almost like a natural "girl" performance. Rakes in the tips and guys are def attracted to that.
Tips, I doubt many barmaids in Scotland get tips, haha.

We're Scots not Europeans. Here they survive on wages, y'know, that thing what employers pay 'em.

Oh, my dear apologies sir, I mean mam.
It works different here.
Here they may only get paid about $3.00 an hour and the rest of the their "wages" are tips.
They make a lot of tips here so employers count part of their tips as wages.
The national minimum wage here is $7.00, so you can see the wages they earn of $3.00 is not exactly ideal. lol

Yeah, I remember the thread on it. I just found that meant customers were paying the majority of the wages.

And some. Yeah I have friends that work in restaurants and they work for tips not wages. They can come out making $100 a night, and do that five times a week along with the actual wages they earn. Thats a lot to earn for a week.
Plus so many of them cheat on taxes, since the tips are all cash, they of course don't pay taxes on them even though they should report it. But no can verify so...its like really awesome pocket money for them.

Makes me want to busk. Was talking to this guy who sometimes busks with Bongo's outside our flat. He only does it for a couple of hours every now and then but he averages out at £15 an hour. Thats crazy.
I'm learning the Didgereedoo at the moment to try and crack that market.

Yeah...its good money, but I don't think i can do it. Lifting those heavy trays and plates of foods. Pshh they would end up weighing more than me considering that they expect you to carry about three plates at time. Plus so many of my friends that do work in the restaurant industry end up having carpel tunnel on their hands and knee problems from being on the feet so long.
Plus they work crazy hours, work from 5 to 11 at night and sleep all morning. I rather work in the morning and hang and chill at night than work.
Whats a didgereedoo?

An aboriginal instrument. Got one today from my dad for my birthday.
