There is no point.
In general, people are racist because they like the people they know, and they assume everyone who doesnt look like them cannot associate with them at all. There are steryotypes surrounding all races, most of which are false, but some that have just enough "evidence" to make people get scared. You have to understand, its all cultural though, and it all has a history.
Like, blacks for instance, are often thought of as tough and gangsters, criminals, people that cannot be trusted. Even if people dont admit it openly, a lot of people think this. Why? Because a minority of their race is portrayed the most in the media and in the real world...the people that get in trouble are the ones we see the most on TV. It doesnt help that many steryotypes are self-fulfilling, and that when we kick the dog long enough when it scratches on the door, it will learn not to try come inside after it is left out.(maybe thats a bad example)
Many races and their cultures associate only with themselves and dont trust others because they are different. They learn nothing from each other and nothing changes from generation to generation, that is why many blacks and hispanics are still in the ghettos and poor towns--they were forced into a specific lifestyle historically, and are only slowly learning to get out of it, if they can. Some are just comfortable with what they have--gangs or not.
Hopefully we can grow beyond all this someday.
Sorry....i'am out of Kudos.....but I like what your post said.....and I think a lot of us feel this way.....thank God i'am bi-racial!!!
