A bunch of friends and I are planning on spending two weeks or so on vacation, though we haven't decided the country yet (we are thinking either italy, spain, or czech republic!). We are sick of staying in hostels (we've had some pretty bad experiences staying in hostles in the past) and are prepared to pay a little more, so we were thinking of renting an apartment or house. Between all of us it shouldn't come out to too expensive. The problem is I don't know where to start looking. I've found a bunch of websites that rent out holiday places online, but I don't know anything about them. Has anyone ever done this? These are the main sites I've found:

but has anyone used these sites or have another idea? I'm open to all types of suggestions, my friends and I are up for anythign!
