I am kinda having trouble finding any books to get or look into getting. My favorite category of books are Fantasy and Fiction. If you don't know what that is, think Harry Potter. I love those books so I want to stay in that category. Lemme know!

Oh yeah I forgot about the Lord of The Rings, I have read that before as well. I was just doing some more looking around online after i posted and found "Speak" & "Wintergirls" ... Have any of you ever read that? I've also seen it at Barnes & Noble I think ... I saw another book too online called "The Fairy Godmother Academy" but it hasn't come out yet. Gimme more.

I would start with The Belgariad series by david Eddings. It's a quest book with lots of interesting characters, a good story and lots of action to keep you interested. There are 5 books in the series and then another follow on series called The Mallorean which also has 5 books in the series. I would call these books easy reading as you don't have to think too hard. If you want to go straight for something meatier then i would go for The Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson which starts with The Moons of Pale.
Most books are very similar with the main difference being how they explain the use of magic. I have over 400 books of this type and have read around a 1000. I have too much time you may think but I read in the bath for about an hour every night and due to a back problem I don't get much sleep so instead of watching tv I will read, Ialso used to read everytime i had a cigerette but i have now stopped smoking, (3 days and counting!)
OH NO!! I SOUND LIKE A GEEK!!!!!! I assure you I am far from it but I do love my fantasy books.
Hope this is of some help
Cheers

I recommend the Conclave of Shadows series by Raymond E. Feist, and the Sword of Shanarra series by Terry Brooks.

Those are all kind of "darker" than most average fantasy stories, though.

A Song of Ice & Fire series by George RR Martin, Hands down by far the best ever! Think dark & Gritty realistic Fantasy, starts out low on magic, high on intrigue, great characters. Be warned, Nothing will ever compare to this series. So you might wanna start with Gemmell, Erickson, R Scott Bakker etc.
Scott Lynch's Lies of Locke Lamora is great, cool and alot of fun too.
Scifi, Altered Carbon by Richard K Morgan.
