Mmm what makes me sit down and read a book is the desire to read =o

Umm... If I see a book in the library what will make me pick that book up would probably be the title...what would make me read it is reading the description and seeing if it's something I'd be interested in. If it doesn't have a description.. I'll either keep looking and then choose something and if I don't find anything else I'll keep that one... Or I will just read the book out of curiosity =o sometimes the cover does attract me though..maybe if its attractive looking..but sometimes the best ones don't have to be the prettiest!! Hm... I guess that is where the saying don't judge a book by it's cover comes from... LOL ... Call me slow.. I thought about it and knew what it meant...but i never actually put it into context ..like a real situation .. until just now with what i previously said >.> XDD

Usually its the reviews...or if the jacket cover seems interesting. I can read the most boring book and still find something interesting, i just like to read. But if the book is stupid..I will curse an author for ruining literature.

I hate to say it but... If the picture or print on the cover captures my attention then I give it a scan.
I'm rather visual...

The story. I'm a visual storyteller, so good stories would instantly draw me in. It's happened before, with some novels I've read. It also depends on my interests.

i have to be in the mood to read but mostly if it sounds good i am mostly into the thrillers and scary stories that make u jump out of your skin.
like right now i am reading twilight and when i am done i am gonna get the new moon book

I have a vast collection of books, but they are all from only a handful of authors..I tend to follow these authors and only read from these or other authors who were inspired by them.

I read to escape for a while into another world. If the summary on the back of the book catches my interest, I'll read it.

When I watch Movies like Harry Potter or Twilight. If Im in a Book Store though, its mainly if the Cover catches My Eye.

It has to be one of those books that grabs you right from the start,if I have to go in search of a story line,where I'm forcing my self to keep reading,that book doesn't stand a chance.
