Well, granted, perhaps I got a bit more snotty than I needed to. You certainly didn't help things by saying, ahem:

Get back to me when you get a clue, you obviously don't know jack s*** about computers, and based on your asinine posts, not much of anything else.

In any case, I'd suggest that in the future you consider the source of the opinion before you blast it like that. It's rather safe for me to say that I have significantly more experience and expertise in this department than you do. I'm going to throw my credentials in your face like you did to me, because I feel my advice stands on its own, as does my reputation in this topic on TFS.

I'll just say that you should consider the possibility that someone else might indeed have more knowledge on a subject than you do before you assume that you definitely know better and insult them.

Oh, and that if you do disagree with someone over a topic, blasting them in general by saying they know nothing about anything and then calling them a troll is perhaps not the most advisable, mature way to go about disagreeing with their opinion.

f***off Troll. I came into this thread as a courtesy and gave what I consider to be excellent advice to a friend. If you disagree-deal with it. But lay off the smartass pissy boy attitude. It's getting tiresome.
From what the OP has stated, she wants to free up space on her system in order to be able to defrag. The removal of Java will free up space, and it may be enough to allow her to defrag. However, I think that a disk clean up is more likely to free up more space than the removal of Java ... especially if the function has not been used for a long time.

Agree with everything you've said. Just trying to spare her a wipe.

Your reputation with laymen is of no consequence.

Besides, it's not about this thread anyway. You've been making s***ty comments and baiting me for days in several topics and threads.

Won't do you any good to deny it-anyone who can read knows it.

You don't attempt to discuss-merely provoke.

It's unfortunate you feel that way, because that's not at all the case.

Oh well. No matter. I just hope that next time you disagree with me, you'll stop at "I disagree" and decide not to continue with the "you're a troll who doesn't know anything about anything" part.

Perhaps we could even get you to state reasons and not rely on "well I build computers so I know better."
