Sounds like you might have Shin Splints. I used to suffer from them back in my gynastics days.

Apply deep-heat or other heat rub to your skin and it should relieve the pain. Nothing really will cure it if you do have shin splints. The pain occurs because you don't have enough mass to support the bone.
