Traveled extensively in both Oz and Nz. love them both very much and intend to go back to one or the other to live for the rest of my life. But I just cannot decide which. No they should not be joined as one thet have very different characters and are rightly very proud of their own countries.

I'm a New Zealand born Australian and i think that if we did join it would be kinda cool think of it like this.
-Best Rugby team in the world(n.z)
-Best movie of all time(lord of the rings)(nz)
-Best Cricket team(aus)
-Olympic Team(aus & nz)
and we also can claim Russel Crowe from one country.

so i guess it has it's does have it's advantages..

I dont think it would happen. If anything I see something like a 'European Union' experiment on South Pacific Nations. (Common currency, free trade etc...)

Sydney already has the second largest Kiwi population of any town, so it's not a strange idea.
I'd like to see a little of the Maori shutzpa transferred to the Oz Indigenous community too, that'd set the cat among the pidgeons!
