We all have our opinions on this issue, but while some are against and some are for it, there is this one positive thought that comes from it:
Of those that were aborted, some probably would have eventually turned into serial killers, so perhaps we've been spared a mess of horrors because of abortion.

And a question, had Hitler, Sadam, Osama, Stalin, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc, been aborted, would the world have been better off in some way?

---this is just a question, not a brutal debate over who is right or who is wrong. so don't go crazy on eachother and don't preach---

That argument works either way. You could be aborting good people.

Very interesting perspective, however, the world never knew these a*****es would be pure evil. I mean, humans don't have the ability to predict the future, so people back then were completely clueless.

For example, Nostradamus "predicted" Napoleon's and Hitler's doings, but even then, they didn't know who they were until they appeared.

I normally don't agree with buffalobill90 , but he's right, this argument does work both ways.
Do you see what I'm trying to say here? I totally agree with you. Aborting devils before they became devils, but we don't know if people will be evil or not.

Depends on the reader's definition of "better off".

I don't really follow into this argument bc of what was already said, the knife cuts both ways (not to be making a sick pun). However, of the many children aborted in this world, there are plenty who could have been born into extreme poverty, abuse, neglect and horrors that, I'm sorry, to me might just be worse than what they have been subjected to. Chances are, a person who could fully care for, and provide a healthy life for a child would abort one.

Almost impossible to talk about the specific question raised in the OP without all the other right/wrong thoughts flooding forward, w/o preaching or debating. It would of been impossible to know at birth that these people would turn out evil. And even if it was possible, others would rise up to take their place.

Abortion is murder of the innocents, society breeds monsters, perhaps there is a gene that scientists can find during pregnancy to determine if the future offspring is going to be evil/good

that actually raises an interesting new topic...
would such testing be ethical and how could one be 100% sure the kid would ultimately turn out evil?
many a sociopath have turned out to not be a killer which leads to the next question...is it more upbringing or are you born that way?
i may put this into a new topic...

in theory it's taught...but then we have the baffling people like Jeffrey Dahmer, who had a pretty noraml upbringing and virtually no friends to corrupt him. we also have a host of people who commit crimes due to mental illness, which sometimes one is born with. in which case, evil is no longer manmade, but natural.
this might be a good topic for the Philosophy area. back in the day, we had a conversation in our english class about something like this...is it society or nature which creates evil? there were many different answers, and because there is no technical science to explain it either way, whether it's totally one or the other, no one was wrong.

Incorrect, generally 50% of the making of a psychopath is attributed to nuture whilst the other 50% is attributed to heritable neurological causes.

Seems that no one considered the wishes of the afected one.My opinion is that she is the only one to decide if or if not. Counciling is OK But the final decision rests with her. Neither laws or religion by others should interfere!!
