Hi Gill! First of all congrats for you coming up with an idea!
Investors are looking for people like you. But you need approach them with full preparation. The things you need to do are:
1.Write a business plan (simple yet effective)
2.Explain the current market scenario (you said you know it well)
3.Try to find the uniqueness and strengths of your idea
4.Try to have an idea about how would you be able to succeed if the investors provide you the required money.
5.Investors look for persons who know how to use money effectively so you must be able to explain how you can put their money to effective use.
6.But don't go overboard and proclaim that your success is a guaranteed one. Investors know that there is always a risk of failure. So be realistic about your sales or profit forecasts.
7.Show some real professionalism. Nothing can beat it!
8.And try to have a team which will add value to your business idea.
9.Always try to be up to date
10.Just approach with confidence! Boldness has a beauty and power.
I hope you will get investors soon.
Regards!
All the Best!
