Since the sex forum was closed and tighter standards were introduced, it has been suggested time and time again that TFS have a separate section where those 18 and up can discuss topics of more adult nature, away from the eyes of younger members.

This almost certainly won't be happening because:
1) Very few advertisers would want this, and advertisements is what keeps TFS a free site. (Please remember this is what caused the sex forum to be shut down in the first place)
2) Having a separate, semi-hidden forum is likely to cause a peak in curiosity among those who don't have access. Anyone can lie about or change their age in order to gain access to this section. There is absolutely no feasible way to get around this.
3) Even if it was called an "Adult forum" instead of a "Sex forum" it would be very difficult to moderate.
4) It might attract certain types of members who disrupt other parts of the site.
5) It might decrease the quality of threads in other forums since so much attention will be focused on this "special" section that some members are allowed to post in and not others.

If you are unhappy with this, please realize that:
1) It is impossible to please everyone. Some people are happy there is no longer sex discussion on TFS, others are not. Naturally someone is going to be disappointed.
2) There are plenty of other sites you can visit on the internet that allow discussion of sexual topics. Try searching on Google to find a site which best suits your needs.
3) You can always create your own forum and run it anyway you like.
