hello, i was wondering if anybody would be able to help me. i was in the process of purchasing an apartment in bulgaria but because of the current cash crisis i am unable to get a mortgage to close the purchase . the lawyers for the developer are saying that they will go to court and i will lose my 40% deposit ( which amounts to 47,000 euro )what can i do or are they right ?

Did you read the terms of your "purchase agreement"? What does it say? Why does the developer want to go to court? If their intent is to take your deposit and move on (according to Bulgarian laws and your purchase agreement), and you have not brought the remaining funds to the table to close the deal, within the allotted time, you just may be out of luck... But, only you (should) know the outcome, based upon whatever is in your "purchase agreement."
