Don't know for sure, I just know the refineries in Texas have no power and will be w/o power for at least two weeks maybe longer, that is the reason we are being given here for the shortage...

But why would that be affecting TN specifically and, apparently, not much of anywhere else, even closer places like Louisiana?

As far as I know it is affecting Texas too...I don't know about Louisiana, maybe less people in Louisiana for the gas to affect, maybe we in TN took more refugees from the storm, who knows....

It started hitting hard here Friday . Gas prices went through the roof on Friday. We are for the most part out of Regular Gas here and running low on Mid grade. The price for Regular gas if can find it is $4.09-$4.69 and before Friday it was about $3.59. The State has had over 1600 complaints of price gouging since Friday says the latest news reports .
