they can be as good as eachother, but unless you need it for travelling you're better off with a desktop,
whatever you spend on a laptop for the same price you could almost definatly find a more powerful desktop.

I bought my computer and modified it with extra parts for gaming. It runs like a dream even when im not playing them.

I was torn between getting a powerful desktop, or a convinient laptop. In the end I just got a powerful laptop. Cost me a lot of money, but it's definitely worth it.

Desktop is the right way to go. It is so much easier and the performance is better in every way. Laptops are always a bit behind in the technology. I have had two laptops an two deskpots, and the latest computer i have built myself. That is truly the best!

I have both, I perfer my desk top over my laptop. I got both of computers for free, so I can not complaine and what would it matter if youe were to get both for free too?

Desktops get you more for the money and will average 15 years lifespan, they will be long outdated though
Laptops get you less value for the money and will average 2-5 years...
If you don't need your computer away from home then stick with a desktop...
