i do like some emo bands but i think a lot of them are way overated. i think something new needs to come along to add some variety.

I myself am not a big fan of emo music, and all it really is right now to me is just a trend that will pass.

Note: I have NOTHING against people who label themselves as emo, or are interested in the emo scene or sound. It's just not my cup of tea.

Mmmm, love them constructive vibes.
Seriously, if your going to criticise, find an intelligent way to.

For example, i would say im not a fan of Sum 41 much anymore, this is because i, unlike many other found chuck a powerful potent album of strong punk, and the latest album rather a weaker more easier to take album, but no where near as musically good.Saying they suck and annoying is not intelligent and not really a criticism.

I quite admire bands like MCR they set about and wrote songs about real problems, like bullying and other teenage problems. Some bands that are defined as emo are quite philosophical in the way they ask very existentialist questions. All in all i quite enjoy what people commonly label as emo as it really is grand punky music.
