Is anyone else put on emergency tax this month? Is this just a case of them not having sorted everyones new tax codes out yet? Its downright annoying really.

No - but I am not sure what is going on with my tax - I am paying much more than I should - I think they have messed up somewhere

Mr HL's been paying emergency tax for nearly a year now, finally got sorted out last week and we'e now in the process of getting it all back.

Amazing when you owe the tax office money you pay up straight away, when they owe you money they can keep you waiting forever!

If it's white, sticky and not yours dont touch it.

Typical. The government changes our tax structure, then doesn't have the resources to sort it out with as little inconvenience to the population . . . . .

When I got my first job, I was emergency taxed for about 7 months! But that was the companies fault - I didn't know anything about tax and they hadn't told me that I needed to fill in a form. I got back a grand and a half ontop my usual wages. Bliss

I've had a really weird thing happen with my pay this month.

I usually get taxed BR on any T.A pay, but this month I have been taxed on tax code 449L and BR on my full time job pay
