Has anyone read any of his books, either The Kite Runner or A Thousand Splendid Suns?
For those who don't know, they're these amazingly powerful books about the war in Afghanistan.
I think they're both amazing, I can never get my head round what a brilliant and powerful writer Khaled Hosseini is.
What do you guys think of him?

I've read Kite Runner and I enjoyed it immensely... I think he is a darned good writer... A Thousand Splendid Suns is on my reading list- have you read it? What did you think?

Of course I don't look busy... I did it right the first time!

I loved the kite runner. I also enjoyed a thousand splendid suns. It had some really heart wrenching moments. I agree he is an excellent writer. I will be waiting for his next book!

I agree with you there.
A Thousand Splendid Suns is just as good, but very different, as it's about a poor woman that stays in Afghanistan, rather than a rich man who leaves it.
Warning! It is also very sad at some parts!

I read The Kite Runner a few years ago and enjoyed it but some parts were so upsetting. I can't remember the names of the characters but it made me so sad that the main little boy wouldn't teach his friend how to read. I think that was more upsetting to me than any other parts!

Did anyone see the movie version of this?
