I'm looking for good fantasy books in like medievaly style. When I was younger I read Tamora Pierce and David Eddings so something along those lines would be good. I am currently looking into Alice Borchardt and would appreciate any suggestions for books. Thanks in advance!

Ok if you are interested in investing the time to read the series I can highly recommend a series called the Sword of Truth by author Terry Goodkind. He followed in Robert Jordans footsteps in style of his books. It's a sword and magic fantasy.Incredible books each in their own right, and well worth the read if that is what you are interested in.

Also other authors that are in the same field would be Mercedes Lackey,Andre Norton, and Jane Linskold. All worth looking into if you are into the fantasy genre. Those are just a few that I have read, and fell in love with.

Would you be interested in King Arthur tales or saxon tales?

If so I recommend these - Bernard Cornwell - King arthur series is The winter king, enemy of god, excabiler and his saxon series is really good too....begining with the "the last kingdom"

Marion Zimmer Bradley series with "Mist of Avalon", Forrest House - story takes place with the celts and druidsm and circles around the tale of King arthur but from a women's view, and a few others, don't remember at the moment all the times, enjoyed the series....

Diana Gabaldon series which begins with the "Outlander", circles around a modern woman being transported back into the time of the jacob raising in Scottland, a series I enjoyed...if i think of any others will let you know....

Andre Norton....the Witch World Chronicles, were an enjoyable read as well...my favorite series of books written by andre Norton.

If your looking for something interesting to read in the Fantasy genre. I'd recommend M. John Harrison and Gene Wolfe, particularly Harrison's Viriconium and Wolfe's The Book of the New Sun. I just started to read the last one again.

The narrative in these novels is somewhat darker than you usually find in Fantasy, but they are definitely brilliant in imaginative scope.

Perhaps the Deverry novels by Katherine Kerr?
