Wait, is it only black metal that has the satanic subgenre? I'm in over my head here, it seems.

Well the point that everyone here seems to be missing is that the heaviest form of metal is ... 'drum roll' believe it or not metal you wanna know why. Well you metal is a genre of music. There for its the heaviest form of metal. Thrash/Speed Metal, Hardcore Metal, Power Metal, Death Metal and Black metal and what ever other types of metal you can think of are just a variation of the metal genre. So there on can be no heavier than the other. They are just simply played in ways. Eg Thrash metal is faster, Death Metal has lots of growled vocal and heavily distorted guitars, Death Metal's lyrics are based around death. But in all they are still that same thing which is metal.

You can't define what is the heaviest form of metal as there is only one form of Metal and that is Metal.

So your answer is Metal!!

But we assume since the question asks the heaviest form of metal, we are dealing with all the sub genre's within metal.

Comparing Death to Doom, or Thrash to Power.

We know somewhere in metal there is the heaviest form of music, but this topic is asking which one that is.

Why are you trying to compare Black and Death to see which is the heaviest? Why
not combine them?

Oh wait, that's been done. Oh hello Nergal. What's that? Behemoth? That sounds
like a great idea!

so yeah, +1 Blackened Death for the win!
