I know them as Johnny Jump Ups as well or Heartsease.
I had them in the garden last summer, that was my first year with them, i didnt collect any seed from them (they are way to small to collect and not to mention fiddly lol) but i do hope they have self seeded and will come back this year.
I've got bulbs in the same section this year, so it will be nice to see them among the bulbs.
