Does anyone out there have any Russina Tortoises. I have one that is about 6 years old and he is a characther (at least we were told it is a "he"; he has been with us for about 6 months, but I still have questions:

* In your experience, what is the best habitat for them
* What kinds of food do you feed them
* Any other particulars about them

We feed him veggies, some fruit and his calcium. He is in a shallow container, similar to those used to storage clothing.
I'm just curious if there are other tortoise owners and what other people do. We kind of got into a debate with my boyfriend because he has read something and I've read other sources, and no-one has the same explanation/answer.

Thank you - that's what we both have done and cannot come up with just one answer
I just wanted to hear from people with practical experience. So far my little guy seems happy and when we are around streches his neck to see us (more likely the food we might offer him"

Yes. They are also fast for such small critters and do have personalities

Oh right!! That was a bit abstract for us, don't you think?
I thought you meant something like russians eat tortoises but then where'd the sushi bar come in to it...Then i remembered the Russians and Japs had a war and thought made it was something to do with a tortoise.
