No she shouldn't, she should have help raising it. And I think having help raising the child would be better than aborting it in the first place.

I'm female and im against abortion.
And the majority of those who get an abortion isnt due to rape. only 1% of all abortions are due to rape or incest. And studies have shown that women who get pregnant due to rape and abort the child are far more likely to suffer from severe depression than those who bring the child to term, so maybe its in the interest of the mother to bring the child to term. what she does after with it is up to her (raise it herself, let someone else raise it, put it up for adoption etc).

What do you mean my birth certificate expired?

She's asking what to do about her situation. She can't do anything to stop her

TOUCHE!!! This IS NOT ABOUT WHERE WE STAND ON ABORTION!!!!! She's asking, what possible reason could her daughter have to stand firm on having an abortion as opposed to having the child and letting her parents raise them, one very tragic reason could be and I hope I'm wrong is that she may have been raped!! Nobody really knows the reason's why somebody chooses, if she won't tell you than it's not going to get anywhere, it seems like her mind is made up, and that's something YOU'RE going to have to deal with no matter how hard it is for you, things probably change between you and your daughter if she goes through with it, my take on this is not to try and make her feel guilty or scream at her cause she'll only dig her feet in deeper, let things go day by day, just reminding her that you love her and it would bring you great joy in raising the child she carries, but in the end she will do as she wants, get yourself emotionally prepared for the worse, and take it from there. That's all I can say on this, it's out of your control. My greatest hope for you is that even if she does abort that the relationship between you and your daughter and grandsons doesn't suffer too bad especially for the other grandchildren whom will sill need your love no matter what she decides. Take Care and I hope the Best for all of your family.

maybe the reason she doesnt want to have the baby is because the man that she got pregnant with didnt treat her fairly. and maybe she doesnt wanna raise "his" child so to speak.
idk tho im not relaly into abortions. i think its wrong. but its her choice.

Your daughter most likely does not want the financial, emotional and responsiblity of another child. Although aborition IS murder that is not what this is about. Most likely if her mind is made up there is nothing you can say or do to change her mind. I wouldn't give up but in the same sense be prepared for the worse. This is so sad and I know you have real greif , because it will be a death in the true sense. Most importantly,Pray for her.

This thread is pretty much beating a dead horse. has anyone here who is debating bothered to follow up with the appylover the OP?

So maybe the abortion already went through considered this was posted last September.

Either way. it was the daughter's choice. she probably just didn't want to go through the pain of labor and knowing that her kid was being raised by her mother and not her.

lol well said, but either way, I, personally dont agree with abortions. I know girls that have had abortions. To each her own.. i guess it depends on the situation. Like if a girl were raped and got pregnant, she probably wouldnt want to keep that baby.. would you? or if she can't support the baby.. Sure, there's always adoption, but thats not always easy for someone to do.

Hey! Another person from Oregon!
Well that's a bum deal. I don't see why people have to abort kids in situations like this. There's other options available like adoption. If they don't want the possibility of having a child then they shouldn't have sex.
Hopefully we'll see McCain get into office, and he said he'd appoint a pro-life judge for the supreme court. Then when Roe vs. Wade is challenged I think we'll see abortions only in the case of rape.

Nope, it still says the same thing as the first time! and that is not right....my daughter was my sons bro or sis!
