Cedar trees need a lot of humus (peat moss) around there roots, they also need
a lot of watering to start them out. If you had a dry summer and a cold winter
the Cedars needed that extra help to survive. The are really swamp like trees
and like to be moist!

Unintelligible!

How much research did you do before you planted them?

Pray to the Godess Cedarize, light incense, strike a bell 7 times in their
presence. If that doesn't work, rip 'em out and start over with another kind of
tree!

last summer was brutally hot, did you water every day for the first month to get them established?

Maybe they should have been covered their first winter?

Here, all bushes & trees have a one year guarantee, did you keep the bill......if so, take them back.

I would also call your nursery and maybe they can give you some help?

got a face job done, like it?

How far in the woods do you live, littlebear? If you planted cedars, and that was the only (green) vegetation that was visible for miles, I'll bet that you had deer or some other animals nibbling on them.

That must be some country -- Canada -- where Mother Nature will grant you a 'one year guarantee' on bushes and trees!

Thanks we still have the bill, and we don't live in the country, I did water them constantly during the summer, but didn't cover them in the winter and it was brutally cold so hubby said that he's seriously thinking of bringing them back, we bought them at Wal-Mart so I think that's what we'll do thanks a bunch odie, glad to have an avid gardener around.
