This is for the Canadians mainly or anyone else who knows: How does one move to canada,
become a canadian citizen? Does one have to give up there American citizenship, or can one
have duel status? Also i heard that you must have a certain amount of money to your name in
order to move there, like 25,000 dollars i think, is this true? just curious!

nah it wouldnt be 25k, no one wold be able to afford it.

My mothers old friend is a dule citazine. She gets bennifits from both contrys and spends most of her time in the states. Its illeagel...and she could go to prison for the rest of her life...but yeah...were am i going with this?

you have to apply for a visa I think, or just move her and apply to be a Canadian Citizen

As far as I know (I was researchingg to have my boyfriend move here) You either have to get a visa, work/school/fiancee etc.. Or the way I was looking at it for my boyfriend, there are also sponsorship programs for permenant residence, NOT citizenship, and then in three years I think it said you can apply for citizenship.

Well that's not a good beginning, if you call Canadians Canucks and roll your eyes at them now is it

It may be that some, as myself do not know how it is done never having known anyone that has done this, I would have answered you if I'd known of anyone that has done it personally, otherwise I have to research it also, Sorry didn't want to give you unfounded advice.
