How should I go about getting my products featured in a magazine's editorial section? Specifically, I'd like my products featured in a celebrity glossy - a section that shows celebrities wearing my products. I don't know anything about product placement in magazines. Have any advice? Who would I contact at the magazine? What should I send them? How do I address them? Is product placement in celebrity glossy REALLY really "paid advertising" though it's supposed to be free? How do I go about doing this?

Some of the best advertising you can get is free. It's called press releases. I suggest you google "press releases" and learn all you can. Obviously, if you are selling ball bearings you won't send a release to Woman's Day but if you are selling something with universal appeal you should use the shotgun approach. There are several businesses whose primary mission is to distribute your press releases to the proper publications. They will even write them for you.
