Anyone out thier familure with piano keyboards, and midi software?

I hook my keyboard up to my PC, and i know i am getting a transfer of data, but i cant get the pc progams to play the sounds or record them. I use cool edit pro. It isnt picking up any tones.

I don't use Cool Edit pro, but look for some setting which dictates the Source Line.

Can't say that I do... when I have a need to record something, I just use Nero's Wave editor... it's gets the job done.

Another simple thing to check... check the volume level of the midi channel through windows volume control panel.

I've never messed with midis but I have Sonic Foundry Sound Forge and Fruity Loops. They are both good sound editors that might have midi options. If your on the network go to \mmgsrSoftwareMisc Programs. If not, shoot me an email or pm and I can send them to you other ways.
