I don't believe in hypnosis. But I do believe in the power of 'suggestion'. So, watch out!

Our subconscious mind is a tricky thing. It can conjure up fresh memories, past memories, and fictional images and blend them all together.

I had a dream last night that the mafia broke into my apartment but they couldn't see me because I was invisible. I ended up taking them out one by one with a frozen ball of rice.

The brain is a tricky instrument. It can conjure up fictional scenarios based on little information. For example when you see something you like (a shiny car, a hot guy/girl, etc.) your brain stores that input. Even though it may not be available in the usable database, its still in there somewhere. All these influences randomly combine and are expressed in our subconscious, especially in our dreams. I know very little about hypnotism itself but my best theory as of now would something along the same lines.
