18/F/Washington, District of Columb Join Date: Jun 2005 | I've seen this question asked many times, so I thought it was finally time to piece everything together and sum it up in one post in the FAQ!
For starters, PLS stands for "Post Length Score." This can be found in the "My Stats" section of your profile.

So there are two ways it can change. You can post more or less... and everyone else can post more or less.
If you start making longer posts and everyone else's posts stay the same, your PLS will go up and their PLS will go down.
There's a complicated mathematical formula behind it, but that's the essence of it.
In addition:
-Scores range from 1-100.
-The average PLS is somewhere around 50. If your score is slightly above 50 this means that your posts tend to be a little longer than those of other TFSers.
-PLS updates occasionally, so don't be surprised if you see it change all the sudden, or not changing when you think it should!
