Claire you are a better judge of what is happening in your area than I, but I will say this. A man can ask me for some spare change on the street but I do not have to give it to him. Christians do not have to give up their traditions and beleifs to anyone if they dont want to. But they must be prepared to defend their right to do those things. Are they? I dont think so anymore as thier are not enough people who claim christianity who actualy practice it and wish to defend it.
If western cultre dies at the hand of another then it will be western cultres fault for not defending its self
I understand what you are saying, but where I come from people are afraid to offend a minority, because they will get branded racist, amongst other things.
The point I'm trying to draw is if you go to a Muslim populated country, you are pretty much expected to wear the proper attire, especially if you are a women.
If you disagree or don't wish to participate in this culture, you'd be lucky if you weren't sent to prison.
In Australia, the Government is not willing to put it's foot down like this. If I called a muslim leader a terrorist it's the end of the world, so to speak. If a muslim leader said I had a red-necked agenda, and I made a fuss about it, I'd be told I can't admitt I'm racist.
