I like Naruto very much and Evangelion too and maybe Cowboy bebop also and also Ghost in the shell and you can't forget full metal alchemist and ....

Cowboy Bebop.

It starts out funny and light-hearted. With a little tinge of darkness and desperation in each one of them.

Somewhere in the middle, you realise the characters have a past which is dark and they are desperately trying to run away from.

But you know it's going to catch up with them. And it does. There is a movie which you can watch (it's good) or not, but it does explain the change in mood. Everything gets serious and sombre. And their past tragically catches up with them.

In the end, it is compelling and sad, and you can't take your eyes off the unfolding drama and tragedy.

The best story I've watched so far.

And the best music too!

i've never seen bleach, but I do read some of the manga - but anywai - I love the story line of death note^^ Light is trying to make all the crminals die with a death note that he happened to find^^ but all while trying to fight off "l"! I think it's funny & at the same time suspncive

full metal alchemist is very good but its not long enough, naruto is good at points but they have killed it with fillers, bleach is i think one of the best at not running out of storylines its an anime that could potentially not end unlike others which kinda have to have a cut off point bleach did well at showing it could have a second main story line with the bountou that actually worked

they probably have its really old now...the only thing i have to say is "ITS OVER 9000!!!"<<google that its funny as.
Digimon pwned Pokemon but i wouldn't really count either as a real anime as such...
