Dont think this has been done before, but out of bordem comes this, hopefully this should help new people with making there profile (This only going to cover a simple profile, i will not go into using pimp my profile now)

Now lets get started, with the help of my made up accound "John_smith"

first thing you should see when you sign in is this
in the top left corner you will see your name, click on it, (here you will see the arrow pointing to your name, with the red circle around it



next..

once you click on it, it will take you to you profile.. it looks boring, dont you agree, so lets change it, click on "edit profile" again, i have put a arrow and a circle around it to show you it

EDIT, i have been just informed by annski729 that there is another way of getting here by clicking on the small arrow next to your name, and clicking on account, thanks annie

next..

so this is the page where you edit your profile, now above the boxes it gives an explination as to what to put into them, so this next part should be fairly easy, just simpley type in information,

1)"Headline"
This will appear above your avitar, when you, or other people come and see your profile, in here put anything you want, like a quote or somthing similar, if you not sure what to put, in this, or anyother, have a look at other peoples profiles, they should give examples.

2) "signature"
whatever you put in here will go below every post that you make, images can go in here, but first you need to have 2,000 or more points first

3) "About Me"
Describe yourself here, go on sell yourself to everyone, this is what (i think) most people will read when they come to see your profile, because they want to know all about you, above it, there is a link, click on it, and you can go customise you profile look, eg background colour/image, but im not going to go into detail here

4) "Who I Want To Meet"
well who do you want to meet? me perhaps? or santa clause? somone famous? whoever you want to meet, put there names in here

5) "Interests"
So what do you like to do, when your not on this site? football? computing? swimming? place everything that interests you in here, if you put a comma after it, everything you put donw becomes a link, click onto it, and it will show you other members with the same interests

6) "Homepage URL"

Stick the URL of your website here, then users will be abile to go and see it

7) PANIC Url,

put somthign like google, or somthing work/school related website address here so when your boss/teacher is comming, the page will automatically go there, when the button is pressed, so that the boss/teacher wont think your on here, but busy working away

8 "Enter Password"

so when your finished, eneter your password here, you will need to do this, otherwise, everything you have done wont be saved, and you will have to do it all over again

9) "Save Profile" and "Reset"

so once you have completed your masterpiece of a profile, and entered your password click here, and your profile will be saved, ready for people to see it
the reset will wipe everything clean, so dont accidently hit this button instead of save profile

well thats all. hopefully this helped you complete your profile, remember if your not sure what to put in certain fields have alook at other people profiles and that will give you an idea

shortend somtimes to avvie, avvy, its the picture above your name, you can change it from the default, heres how,

We shall start at the home page, firs click on the little arrow, next to picture, as shown here


then the bar under it changes, so now you have image options, click on upload..

Next this takes you to the upload page, click on browse, and a pop up, comes up, browse to you file click onto it, and then open,

next click on upload image, this will take you to a new page, to add imformation to it



Right next we will add information to our avvie

1) This is a text field, type in a description of your photo, so others know whats going on

2)others can rate your pic, select yes if you want them to rate it, no if you dont want them to rate.

3) others can comment on your pic, select yes if you want them to comment, no if you dont want them to comment

4)here you can pick if only memebers can see your pic, or if non regisrtered people can (NOTE. people who havnt jioned the site cant rate or comment on your pic

5) Submit changes, click on this when your done, the pic will now be uploaded to TFS, and (only applies to your first image uploaded) will become your avvy

right, im going to leave it like that for now, later i will add how to change your avvie with another image
