The block feature is a handy little tool! Please use it

Ok, I don't want to offend anyone, but this has to be said! Hardly anybody took notice of my last request to stop the bullying and that really disappointed me!

What is going on atm?! Everytime I turn around I see someone being harassed, insulted or attacked here!

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DEBATING, OR DISAGREEMENTS IN DEBATES! I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENCES IN OPINION! I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WITH THE SAME VIEWS!

I am however talking about the sarcastic comments being thrown around when you know full well it will upset the original poster I am talking about the constant attacks on certain members just because you have taken a dislike to them! I am talking about members getting together to ridicule others.

Just because you are on the top posters board, or because you have a high points score does not give you the right to be like this. I am sick of the arrogance, like you're better than everyone else. You are not!!! Everyone on TFS is equal and should be treated with the same respect you would expect to be treated with.

Please guys listen! Be nice, have fun, by all means have a laugh, just stop the negative vibes!

It's not a nice atmosphere and it's starting to put me off certain members, prove me wrong, prove you can be civil...

and if you can't there's that handy little block feature I mentioned at the start. Use it

I agree with all the above, that kind of behaviour will not only upset people but will create a bad atmosphere on the site and cause people not to join/and or stay on the site. I have to admit that I have been thinking about whether to stay on here, it just doesn't seem the same as it did when I first joined (thats my personal decision i know and should not have a bearing on the topic)

Well done T-bone and Missy !

There is nothing worse than great forum like this one being spoiled by a few who prefer the poison-pen than the friendly handshake and an agreement to agree to disagree.

I must admit that I had not noticed such stuff either here. Maybe I just don't go round in the same circles as the abusers here do.

TFS STILL rocks as far as I am concerned !

Allow me to offer a little constructive criticism, from someone who has had to deal with this type of thing many times before. Don't take this as me telling you what to do, I'm merely explaining what I've personally found to be true.

If you see people doing things that violate the TOS rules, it's absolutely necessary to take it up with them personally. Initiating PM exchanges with the people in question, reminding them of the rules, perhaps deleting inappropriate posts, and threatening punches or bannings. This must be taken up in private, for a number of reasons.

First, general posts to the board are singularly ineffective at curbing undesired behavior. This is clearly evidenced by the fact that this is the latest of a series of these threads that have apparently been completely ineffective.

Second, the "business" of the back end takes up space on the board and is only distracting to the other members.

The only way for you to be effective in enforcing the changes is to take things up privately with the members you feel are behaving inappropriately. If a post needs to be deleted, delete it. PM the user. Start a discussion.

Publicly, and loudly, b****ing about it in a forum post may draw some "woohoo!"'s from the peanut gallery, but the effect is absolutely nil.

Also, threads like this should be posted in the "closed" position, because they are diluted by the ass-kissing postings.
