What's everyone up to over the easter weekend then?

What kind of easter traditions do you have?

I know that we're very chocolate centric in the UK compared to the US, so just wondering what other things people do over easter time.

Eat to much chocolate lol

Painting eggs. EGG HUNTS. I love the eggs hunts here. My uni does several and they usually put $500 - $2000 scholarships in them. It's sweet.

Other places give out free theme park tickets and so on and so forth.

Chocooooooooooolate.

Plus everyone goes to church - which I don't do, but I like seeing people dressed up and stuff.

I'm going to force chickens and rabbits to mate, that way I can see how the f*** it all happened.


Seriously though, I'll be taking my kids outside in nice dresses to take stupid Easter pictures for my mom and husband's mom. As soon as I take the pictures, we'll just sit around inside doing normal day stuff.

Why don't they do this over here?? Such a great idea.

Well I AM going to church! Praise Jesus, for he is lord!

I wish I could drink, I'd love to drink this holiday away as fast as possible :p
I also think my husband will be getting the kids 2 kittens for a spring gift.

I'm sure Jesus appreciates.

Used to have to spend all easter day in church singing so kind of glad I don't have to do that anymore. Easter isn't as magical as christmas.

It's a quiet 4 day weekend for hubby and I, since the kids are gone to their grandparents until Monday.

Normally though, we are at my sisters with our parents and her kids. We do an egg hunt(she has a HUGE yard, so it's awesome), the kids get their other Easter chocolates as well and then the kids are outdoors playing with their 'Spring Toys' (jump ropes, chalk, bug catchers, etc.). We then have a big supper of a nice smoked ham with all the works.

Tonight, hubby are going out for drinks and a movie, then I work for midnight. Ken works tomorrow, but since we both have Sunday off, we are going out for our usual Sunday "Date Night"

Maybe you can suggest it? If not for scholarships, maybe something related to student activities.

I bet he does appreciate me not being there. I get quite uncomfortable gas when I eat eggs.

If I liked my uni/SU then I'd definitely be tempted. Might keep it in mind when I'm a teacher though.

Goin out to my grandson's farm and watch the family fights.

This easter will be spent mostly cuddled up on the sofa watching tv with my better hlf. Sunday will be busy though, off to church in the morning then in the afternoon ive got the parents round for my mother to meet the lad for the first time. Wish us luck!
