The teen wasn't engaging in any CRIMES at the second he was brutally shot was he? The teen's "school suspensions" had NOTHING to do with his death. The school DIDN'T find "drugs" on the teen.....it was drug resado, meaning there wasn't enough to charge him with the crime of drug possession. And I take it you have never been absent on a school day huh? Maybe not, but i'am sure you may have had friends who were. Big f***ing deal! Now stealing, that's a crime you can be charged for depending on the amount, prior offenses etc. But the kid wasn't doing any of those things when he died! The teen was not without fault, and you aren't either......we all have things we've done that we shouldn't have. Trayvon IMO did nothing to deserve a bullet to his chest that particular day! According to some witnesses, he was beating up Zimmerman when shot. | ||||||

I'd beat the s*** out of anyone who would have the balls to hit me first....and it seems to me that there are more "witnesses" that say it was the opposite of what you say. zimmerman was told by police to stay in his car......so why didn't he? They told him to stop following the teen, so why didn't he? | ||||||

CNN had their senior legal correspondent, Jeff Toobin, in tv explaining the law. The law means if someone is posting a threat to you, you do not have to retreat before you take deadly force. This means if I am walking down the street and someone comes at me, I am legally allowed to use deadly force to protect myself. This law, according to my understanding of Mr Toobin, does not allow you to first confront someone and when they attack you, you use deadly force. You are not allowed to start an altercation and use deadly force and claim the self defense law of Stand Your Ground. If Mr. Zimmerman was walking down the street and was attacked, he could legally pull out his gun and use deadly force. If Mr. Zimmerman started an altercation or got the worst of a fight, he can't use the Stand Your Ground law. | ||||||

My father in law used to have a pocket protector full of screwdrivers, he must've been a master thief!!! Incidentally...if he and Zimmerman had simply fought and Martin was on trial for assault, guess what wouldn't be admissible as evidence. That stuff that you mentioned. There are eye wittiness that contradict Zimmersmans account of the events and there are eye witnesses the give the same account of the events. The only 'wittiness' that can tell what may have happened before the shot was fired didn't see anything but heard some of it, that is Martins girlfriend on the cell phone , but the call ended before the fight started, it seems. I am just going to say it, from some of the comments, I do not mean yours, it appears if a black person has a screw driver, its a tool to use used to harm someone or break into something. If a white person has the same screwdriver, he must need to fix something. If a white person is in a hoodie, they must be cold or think its fashionable. If a black person is in the same hoodie, they are a thug, a gangster or a wanna be thug or gangster. This is the vibe I am picking up from reading some of the comments on here. | ||||||
