School asks kids to dress up like African Americans!

Funny.. (not really) thing is.. we had a similar even back in elementary school. but we were supposed to dress like Native American Indians do.... At that time I still lived with my grandparents near Ruidoso, NM ( that should give away where I come from. any who I went to the public school there for reasons I will not get into here. but yeah.. I showed up that day dressed like well everyone in the rez dressed.. ( Normal every f***ing day attire) and I got sent to the principals office for not wanting to participate and show my respect to the natives..
I was so confused.. I never ever got into trouble , I was sent home for apparently throwing a tantrum, in defending myself and stating that this is how we dressed etc etc... but yeah..

bigotry, racism, stupidity, ignorance, call it what you will. IT STILL EXISTS.. I make fun of the situation as I rather not dwell on the s*** but it's sad that it's still here with us..

African Americans dress like children, simple. It's not racism, it's honesty. So, those children should be wearing baggy pants with no belt, hat with tag still on it, Nikes or Jordans, tall T's, 'bling'.

As for the animal print stuff, well that because African American's ancestors came from Africa, it's logical to dress in animal print to represent what Africa holds.

I mean listen, I personally know MANY black folks........not one of them dresses like the other. And while you have this opinion of blacks, let me tell you, it's NOT "honesty" as you put it. With the exception of "bling" (mostly because I don't know what you mean) and tags still on hats (which I haven't seen on ANYONE regardless of color), you just described the fashion sense of teens all over the country, plus many people my own age. In fact, scratch that. Have the hat be backwards, and you described them.

May not be all who dress the same but there is alot that dress the same.

I know 10 black people in person here in KY, they do not know each other but dress the same. Now I'm not basing ALL blacks dress that way based on those 10 ppl, but this is just KY. Back in TX, Houston or San Antonio, they also dressed that way... Everytime I get on the internet I see a black person dressing the same as the last black person and it's just... Hideous. There may be 10,000 (estimation) that dress horribly, and 9,000 (estimation) that dress nice, though that's not all of the race, that's a majority is it not?
