ClickBoom , Canada | #1  Mar 18, 2012 @ 02:42:59We went for a drive today in the back country and got thoroughly lost. It was a good lost though because I ended up in an area I have never been to before. I'm not really sure if I could find my way back there because it took us darn near a full tank of gas to get un-lost. :D and silly me I left the GPS in my other car. Even though I didn't end up with a lot of shots it was a hoot and I will try and make my way back there because I ended up in some valley that I think would be nice on a warm sunny day. These were taken during the short sunny periods betwixed the heavy rains.... nothing special.     | ||||||

I was standing on a road that was considerably lower than the barn and if I wooda done what you wanted and captured more of the trees and less grass I wooda have had to tilt my camera upwards which wooda made the shot look really s***ty. *** takes deep breath *** Make sense? If I go back and if I can find the same barn which to be honest is doubtful I will endeavor to capture said barn in your style. | ||||||

Sometimes with photography you can only capture what you can capture without messing with the integrity of the photo. I still think it's a great pic. | ||||||

There was no cell phone reception where I was so said my bluetooth thingy. It kept barking at me and was driving me nuts so I shut the damn thing off. On a lighter note I could have stopped and axed someone but that wooda taken all the fun out of the day which in the end I suppose happened anyway. Mrs.ClickBoom had to squirt in the worst way and refused to do it in the raw. She wanted a facility with a restroom. Like that was going to happen. I told her I was so proud of her for not muckin' up my cars upholstery. In the end we found a construction site that had a port-a-potty thingy and all was well. Then she wanted a coffee... damn city girls. | ||||||

I am a particular fan of 'old buildings' I was just talking about this yesterday that sometimes you could see an older building a 100 times and there could be a new view or a new perspective each time. I think I could find it again. Usually if I've been somewhere I never forget it. Mrs. ClickBoom was very surprised I got us lost because as she said... " You haven't done that in decades. " Maybe I'm just getting old. The real reason is I didn't really give a s***. I was enjoying the drive and the scenery and the endless rain and the nonstop chatter from my bluetooth thingy and Mrs.ClickBoom of course. There's nothing that can compare with spending quality time with my bride. Nothing... not peace and quiet, not the sound of an eagle screaming off in the distance, not the sound of silence... nothing at all. | ||||||
