To anyone who hasn't seen it on the morning news, they were actually handing these things out last night, as awards for excellence, to the likes of Adele (she won two, and probably wishes she hadn't).


Like, The Brit Awards has always been tacky, tasteless and a bit of a British in-joke. Nobody takes the Brits seriously (unless they've got the IQ of a dead frog), but what possessed them to hand out this.... awful.... THING..??

It looks like they went for some 60s retro look, but ended up with a badly painted pepper grinder. Definitely one for the cupboard under the sink methinks.

Well, I take the Frenchies and their self-appointed status as the cultural leaders of the free world even less seriously, so yeah, why not a dead frog--but it would be better to see the look on their face though.

I like the bottom but, but the stripes just remind me of the French flag. Which is a bit bloody stupid really. And they had them all over the place.

I like it. I think its funky. Awards should be relevant to the medium and this is relevant.

I missed the awards, but they tend to repeat them for about a week over here on MTV so sooner or later i'll get to see it or at least the highlights.

Firstly, don't bother watching when MTV re-run it. You're not missing anything.

I'm afraid I don't know the definition of "snoobed", but I'm guessing you're referring to her acceptance speech being cut short.

Don't listen to much new music but it must have been a god awful year if the best single was a bunch of karaoke competition rejects.

Yes, cut short is right. I don't think she was cut either. She had loads of time to say what she'd previously said the other what two times she was up there.

You are right, it was a waste of bloody time. I watched it last night and the only two bits i really enjoyed where when the two fella's walked in front of the host and he told them," Eh! I'm working here."

Blur played a good song in a s***ty way...something about seeing a man my age jumping around on stage trying to look and sound like hes 18 again that just does not work.

Nothing memorable on that Brit awards, unlike the last few. I like a good laugh, this year was a flop.
