Being unemployed for too long reportedly is driving people mad and costing taxpayers billions of dollars in mental illness and other disability claims. Cinnamon![]() USA, | #3 HAHAHHA! So funny! Another bad obama slap. Hey - he wants people unemployed and totally reliant on the government. Massive 'welfare state.' It's all part of his greater plan. Get out of your caves, America! OPEN your eyes!!

Cinnamon![]() USA, | #4 @offbeat Said ![]() saw a documentary about all the kids living in poverty in usa ... apparently 1.5 million ... bloody disgraceful really .. Well, they get extra welfare money for each of their offspring. It's a motivation for them to collect more free gravy train money -- and totally reject and starve their children. They sell their welfare money for crack. There's the poverty. Self-inflicted. And terribly disgusting.

Cinnamon![]() USA, | #9 And if it doesn't -- you give up and die there?
|
offbeat![]() london, United Kingdom | #10 lets be honest about this ... in the usa you have a bunch of people with nets that drag out so much fish .. many more fish than they'll ever need ... and a growing number of people end up with little tiddlers or no fish at all .... and the over fishers like nothing better than declaring .. ' i have created a huge net ... any one can create a huge net ... so , why don't those people create a huge net ?... oh .. it must be because they are either cheaters or beggars or lazy or commies! ' .... i sometimes suspect that such societies are happy to have a visible community of so called 'failures ' ... otherwise the over 'succesful '.. would have nothing to measure their immense wealth and achievement with .

The National Poverty Center noted, "Only a small minority of recipients (about 4 percent) satisfied the diagnostic screening criteria for illicit drug dependence"] Rep Governor Rick Scott puts the figure in Florida closer to 2%. (These numbers based in part on drug tests.) While those noted percentages are NOT a good thing, it strongly suggests that 90% (or more) of individuals on welfare are NOT "spending their welfare money for crack".
