Cinnamon![]() USA, | #1 I've never seen anything like it ... and grateful it was live streaming today. What nicely surprised me was all the reverence, praise and gratitude to God. The service was as much about our Lord as it was about Whitney. I understand she would want it that way. I never followed Whitney's life or her music, movies, etc., however, the people who spoke at her funeral were wonderful. I don't think there was one who didn't thank or acknowledge God. I expected an hour service, but it turned out to be three and a half hours. I watched it on and off and it really touched my heart. The most beautiful and comforting Bible Scriptures were selected - songs too. Of course, lots of singing. I wanted to post this in the Religion forum because that's what her service was about. Even though I know little about Whitney, I'm now overwhelmed with stories about her strong faith in God and how she spoke of Him all the time - right up until her passing. Did anyone else see the church service? If so, do you think it was beautiful? thnx

Cinnamon![]() USA, | #3 oh, they didn't call it that. I believe they called it a "going home" ceremony. Edit - thanks for the reminder - I just changed the title to what they called it. "Going home" - I like that better anyway. thnx.

DorkySupergirl![]() , Canada | #4 I saw some of it. Its sad when someone passes but I like how they made it a celebration of her life and not just about the sadness of her passing. The parts I saw, it was beautiful and very heartfelt.
