| Sparklegirl LL.M  Cumbria, United Kingdom | #1  Nov 17, 2011 @ 21:09:06So the time has come. I got the call today to tell me I have my very first client! I am of course terrified, while it will be a fantastic experience and what I have been working towards all of this time- it is still very nervewracking. I have a brief overview of the person and what the issue is, which is something that I will find personally difficult to deal with because it hits home with me so it will be a huge test to see how well I am able to seperate off my emotions from the situation. I have to hope and pray that I am able to do this effectively so the client is getting what they need from the session. Its the day I have waited for since the course began all that time ago but as predicted, now its here Im scared! I do of course understand that they will also be worried about it too so I just have to get a grip of my feelings, get in there and hopefully do it well!! | ||||||

Over thinking the session will only be your own undoing. This is the time to treat the patient which you've said has issues that hit close to home as if you are the third person giving the best possible advice which you will find easily because you have first hand 'experience' with these types of issues.
