TransCanada, the Canadian company behind the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, has long pushed the message that the project would "directly create more than 20,000 high-wage manufacturing jobs and construction jobs in 2011-2012 across the U.S." as well as "118,000 spin-off jobs," and up to 553,000 jobs "stemming from a permanent increase in stable oil supplies." At times TransCanada used the term "jobs" to refer to what was actually an estimate of "person-years of employment," and the press rarely explained the difference.

TransCanada's figures come from a study that independent analysts have called "dead wrong," "meaningless," "flawed and poorly documented."

That is a hell of a lot of jobs to lie about . Add to that that the pipeline company and out state department Hillary was named are in bed together and our media is shinning there lights camera somewhere else . How loverly is this I ask you ?

I'm pretty drunk at the moment and still have a pretty difficult time getting past your numerous typos and grammatical errors in trying to ascertain what exactly you are trying to say.

TransCanada's estimate of direct job creation per mile is higher than what took place during construction of the pipeline TransCanada completed in 2010, indicating that the company either "intends to hire more workers [per mile] for shorter periods of time, or that the company's construction crew and jobs figures are overstated, compared with earlier stages of the Keystone project."

So essentially what we have here is an oil company trying to force US tax payers to help pay for a pipeline that would connect oil coming straight out of Canada to Asian oil markets, and the main vain of contention is whether these same oil company who stand to incur virtually all of the profits and none of the costs are lying about the actual number of people who will be employed in this project?

Is it really that hard to believe that this would be the case?

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I'm a fairly successful business man myself, and in my estimation if these oil companies AREN'T lying or at least vastly exaggerating the amount of people who will be employed in this project, then they make for fairly terrible businessmen.

This is a softpitch.

With so little information on the whole story behind this deal with the US I think people should refrain from bashing Canada. Really, it's not like the US has never duped Canada right?

True~ But someone has to stand up for Canada once in a while even if we as the citizens don't control anything or any decision the higher ups make.

Perhaps.

Point being is really how hard is it to believe that these numbers might have been a bit, how you say creative?

Really these oil execs are trying to propose a sales pitch to the United States Congress in order to convince them to help subsidize their pipeline and you are willing to accept their figures hook, line, and sinker?

If these guys didn't get at least a little bit jiggy with the numbers, then I declare them all but stupid.

In my opinion it's very hard to make it up there without becoming a little 'hungry' if you know what I mean.

Justice, as in the 'justice system'? That's a laugh. There is no such thing as a justice system, just players and pawns.

Honesty? Everyone has their unique definition to that word also.

Finally, only applies IF the person in question has a 'conscience'.
