Has anyone here ever been to Copenhagen before? I'm here at the moment and absolutely love the place. I haven't enjoyed or fell in love with a city so much since I first visited Edinburgh. I love the culture, the society, the people and the whole dynamic of the place. The only thing I don't like is the cost of everything (only marginally better than Norway). I have been here before, growing up in Norway it wasn't really that far from Copenhagen, but I couldn't really remember it that well, as it was still more of a distance than Sweden was.

Anyway, I'm coming back to Copenhagen in the summer. Anyone else ever been here, what did you think of it?

Yeah, went to see the Little Mermaid yesterday and wasn't that impressed at all. Was more impressed with the naval Submarine that was sitting behind it. I realised it was the first time in my life I'd ever seen a submarine, whereas it wasn't the first time in my life I'd seen the statue of the mermaid.

Away from the touristy things (which I have to say have been top notch) the feel and atmosphere of more 'normal' things here has been great. Personally I think I may just feel more at home in Scandinavia than I do in Britain generally though.

yeah, they seem to have a pretty laid back attitude towards things which i like. but then you get the same kind of thing in spain & the netherlands and probably plenty of other place in europe that i have never been to.

I think the Danes have a similar attitude towards things that Norwegians have.

Glad you're having a good time. I'm dying to visit Iceland and Scandinavia at some point, might see if I can do it for my 21st if I get a job before then.

Iceland is quite interesting, nice scenery and plenty to do. Only went up there once but it was a great place to visit.

I really liked it the few times I had been there! It's an amazing city!
It was probably 20 years ago that I was there the first time, and I had the best ravioli in my life in some restaurant there So good.
